Heather wished to create a therapeutic program that incorporated best practices for children, their families, and the therapeutic team.  SOAR was born out of Heather's passion to help children and families reach their highest potential and manage the unique challenges of Autism and related disorders.  

Heather earned her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Auburn University and received her BCBA certification in 2006. She has expertise in early intervention, verbal behavior, severe problem behavior, special education, and university practicum instruction. Her experience with children and adolescents spans a wide array of settings, including private and public schools, clinic based, and in-home settings. She has nearly 20 years of experience utilizing ABA techniques in a supervisory and direct service capacity. She is dedicated to a team approach, with multi-disciplinary providers supporting the role of the parent in their child’s road to success.
